Hacked my first part -- 4349 Town Loudhailer  [DAT]

Hey all, Here's my first semi-successful attempt at (quasi-) parts-authoring. I'm extremely new at this, and would appreciate any feedback I can get on the changes I made to this part. What I did: I modified the part #4349 (Town Loudhailer) to have (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I agree! TLC has to stay modern and try new sub-themes to draw in other would be customers. They have seriously hurt a portion of their customer base with the juniorization of many of the lines. True hardcore Lego lovers like to BUILD their own (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Sword fighting robots

(...) I suppose you could use the IR transmitter and light sensor as a rangefinder. Quite a few people have succeeded in getting range measurements using that scheme. If the target is a known colour, that'll make it easier. If the two robots take it (...) (22 years ago, 21-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Suggestion?

Hi Mike! I've been working on a large model and have run into the slowwwiiiinnnnggg-dowwn wall. Whenever I add a new piece or rotate a selected one it seems to take forever. I'm not sure, but I believe it is because MLCAD re-renders the whole model (...) (24 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Why do we want to display?

(...) Wow, that's an open-ended question! I'll throw in my 2cents worth. The GMLTC does 4 to 6 shows a year. We'd like to do more, but nearly every show we do costs us money - we very seldom make enough to cover show expenses. Especially the 'out of (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Un-official Primitive: 2-4ring4.dat  [DAT]

When I saw Tore post his 1-4ring4 primitive, I realised that I hadn't posted my 2-4ring4. However, since he has posted the 1-4, I rewrote my 2-4 to use his as its base file.   Sensor Sampling

Can anyone tell me how often the sensors are sampled in BrickOS? In the standard firmware, they are sampled every 3ms with a .02 measurement time (so I'm told) and I need to know if BrickOS is the same. Thanks Steve (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
