RE: Detecting tilt with an Accelerometer.

(...) Steve, The accelerometer is actually a micromachined beam. Think of a miniature version of your arm holding a 5 lb brick. Your measurement axis is rotation about the shoulder joint. Whether or not you or the brick are moving, the brick is (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I just compared some recently acquired some dark red 1x2 bricks (from the POB wall at Rockefeller Center) with some plates from an older Star Wars set and the color is slightly but noticeably different - the newer bricks have more of a "sand" (...)   Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

(...) The Lego software does in fact only give the outline on a lego grid rather than where each brick goes. It works pretty good most of the time. When building large scale models, it is a bit of a different way of building than the Staue of (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Lego Parts You Hate....

(...) These are nice for single color steam domes. I never liked the notched edges on 2x2 round brick. (...) My initial reaction to this part was of a similar vein, but I recently built a large retainer wall, using mostly 1xNx5 and 2xNx1 bricks. And (...)   New LEGO Store in Portland, OR
