  Re: Minifig scale?

I think this whole issue of scale and size brings into question just how humans see the world and depict it. Western Civilization and the whole scientific mathematical outlook of the world originated only a few hundred years ago with the discovery (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: LEGO® Launches Battle Over Trademark

(...) From what I recall, LEGO received KiddieCraft bricks in 1947 along with their first molding machine. The bricks were (if I infer correctly) presented to LEGO as examples of what can be done with plastic injection molding. LEGO probably didn't (...)   tracking an IR beacon

Hello all - My goal: I'm trying to determine the feasibility of tracking an IR source with my Handy Board. My initial scheme calls for using two IR detectors (the ones with all the internal filters, etc, to provide a clean 5V output upon detection (...)   Re: Help reading pulsewidth. Duh!

After sutdying the schmatics for an hour, I got up to get something to drink. When I came back I noticed that digital 1 is connected directly to the IC 1 input line and digital 2 goes to IC2 via a pullup resistor. It seems that the answer was right (...)   Re: Cheap air flow sensor

Elektor had published a similar circuit for detecting air leaks. The heated transistor and another transistor acting as temp. sensor were glued together using heatsink compound. You had then to nullify/calibrate a meter at ambient temp. when the (...) (26 years ago, 16-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Yes. Actually it's two step, the A/D interrupt sets a flag and a routine in the firmware checks the flag periodically and does the processing, most of it being calling the ROM routine. (...) Hey Y'all: No, it's nothing prurient or otherwise disgusting -- I just want to know how y'all calculate certain coordinate points in parts authoring, or rather how ya don't. T. Hafner was good enough to place into my hands a very well commented DAT (...) (22 years ago, 11-May-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Another DIY sensor

My continuing journey into the world of DIY RCX sensors has lead me to a home made rotation sensor which may be of interest. Since the RCX light sensor reports values in the range 0 - 100 and my compass sensors are thus constrained to report 0 - 360 (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello all, On the Handy Board, how many times can program files be uploaded to the memeory on the board? I am not much of a programmer and spend alot of time de-bugging. The biggest problem I see with using rotating platforms, etc. is that they are slow and use up a bunch of I/O ports to implement well. There are a number of "one pixel" sensors that you can use with these implementations -- several have been (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
