  Re: C/T-347 Pioneer

(...) Well, let's see, I'm just about out of red brick, plate, slope and tiles. Spite two trips to the pick a brick and two purchases on bricklink. I found myself emptying drawers out of my drawer system so freed up some space there. Didn't run out (...) (20 years ago, 9-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: challenge: LEGO copier

(...) One could cheat (if you consider it that) on this pretty easily, though. Instead of hoppers containing a jumble of bricks, each feedstock source could be a neat queue of bricks in a constant orientation. Grabbing the next brick from such a (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: challenge: LEGO copier

(...) No - you'd just use a touch sensor that you could lower down onto the model you are 'scanning' - it would be easy enough to measure whether there was a hole or a brick. (...) The Lego camera isn't really much use because it can't talk to the (...) (20 years ago, 5-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics)

how to remove center of 2x2 brick?

I tried my very first part mod today -- my objective was to drill a clean hole in the side of a 2x2 brick, and then remove the center cylinder from the inside of the brick so I have room to stuff some things therein. The hole in the side of the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.mod)

Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

Not to nit-pick, but Joshua 3:15-16 says "As soon as the feet of the priests carrying the ark of the covenant touched the water, the water coming downstream toward them stopped". You portray the water piled up both upstream and downstream, rather (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Royal Knights Summer Palace (MOC)

I am pleased to announce my latest MOC: the Royal Knights Summer Palace. This building is loosely inspired by the castles and palaces that I saw on my honeymoon in Spain. I began this project about two and a half years ago, with a few very long (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.castle)

Re: The Brick Testament begins the Book of Joshua

Hi, Matthew. (...) I've reviewed the passages describing the parting of the Jordan, and while the text doesn't rule out that the water piled up downstream as well, I have to agree that it would make more sense to portray this scene with only one (...)   Re: The Brick Testament:The Massacre of Jericho

Hey Brendan, And there was much rejoicing! I really like how you put together the map. The way the water matches up on the right side is particularly pleasing. The wall is nice--congratulations on finding a use for those pieces. On the horns, I've (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

And finally I got to go to Brickfest..

After planning to attend and registering for 3 consecutive years, I finally made it to DC this year. Wow, and wow some more. The best thing was not the bricks, but the people. I recognized the vast majority of names, but only met a few prior to (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) Huzzah! (...) I'm glad that worked out. I'd tried all sorts of combinations of map tiles--those newer ones from the Advernurers Orient Expidition made the most convincing war map, what with the palace, the dotted lines, and the X. (...)   Lavender Brick Society

I've been kicking an idea around for a while, and I wanted to put it out to the community: I'd like to start an organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) AFOLs. I was making up some 1/2 scale blocks (2x2 tile on 2x2 brick on 2x2 plate) the other night and randomly pulled out some of my old "childhood-era" (mid 70's) 2x2 bricks, and noticed the absolutely horrible quality control it shows...
