And there was much rejoicing!

Huzzah!

I really like how you put together the map.  The way the water matches up on the
right side is particularly pleasing.

I'm glad that worked out.  I'd tried all sorts of combinations of map
tiles--those newer ones from the Advernurers Orient Expidition made the most
convincing war map, what with the palace, the dotted lines, and the X.

The wall is nice--congratulations on finding a use for those pieces.

I had the idea to make the wall of Jericho out of the basketball court a long,
long time ago.  I even stocked up on them through Bricklink (they're pretty
cheap since nobody knows what to do with them), but I only ended up using about
30% of them.

On the horns, I've seen this done with the addition of a 1x1 cone, which I
thought looked a little better:

Ooh.  Wish I had seen that before I illustrated the story.  Those are nice.

In 6:14 - are those custom helmets by Jeff Byrd or Issac Yue?  Or are those cut
down official elements?

They are the latter.  It's what Bricklink calls the "Helmet Castle with
Chin-Guard": http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3896  I just cut off the
lower halves of them, trying to give them more of an ancient look, rather than
medieval.

I'm not a big fan of the arm solution in 6:19,16 (it needs an elbow), but it is
an interesting idea.

Yeah, it doesn't look perfect, that's for sure.  Just trying something new
(after seeing Casper van Nimwegen's use of tubing-for-arms).  Maybe I can
improve on this in the future.

6:20  And the walls came a-tumblin' down!  Beautiful.  How'd you do this--do all
of those pieces actually balance, is this photoshoppery, or did you actually
take a quick photo while all was in motion?

There is very, very minimal photoshoppery there (I did clean-up one element that
was captured at slightly the wrong angle).  Everything is held in place by
(sometimes elaborate) supports that are hidden from the camera.  Nothing is
actually in motion, though I'm very glad it gives that impression.

I'm glad this shot meets with your approval--I knew you'd be watching closely.
@8^)  But that was good inspiration to give it my best shot.

Lots of brutality - good - just what I go to the BT for.  :)

I couldn't have picked a better book to illustrate for that.  @8^)

I like the doorway in 6:21 a lot for some reason.

Yeah, I like it.  Just a funky idea I had.  It's not all that noticeable in the
final shot.

Is the sword stabbing the cow cut?

Yep.  I went and cut one of my swords back when I was illustrating The
Wilderness, so this is a return appearance.

Poor sheep.

They had it coming.

I like Rahab in the "to this day" scene.

Bible inerrancy.  You gotta love it.

Odd place to cut.  I would have expected you to end at 6:25 and then make Joshua
7 into a separate story.

That is the more traditional place to separate the stories, but Achan's actions
happen at Jericho, so it made sense to me to show it happen there.  Then the
next story will start with the abortive attack on Ai.  Plus, who could resist
ending the Jericho story with God furious at the Israelites, not for
slaughtering countless women, children, seniors, and animals, but for one guy
taking a little loot for himself instead of putting it in "Yahweh's treasury".
