  Re: Aves

I used Brasso to take off the UFO junk. I don't consider it ruining the piece, I consider it saving the piece from TLG's ruining it by making it useable only within the UFO Theme. I really hate theme-specific printing on stuff, with the possible (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.space)

I've found that a bit o' Brasso on a Q-Tip works better than an X-Acto knife for removing microphones... not as much scarring. It does get tricky in small spaces, so if you trim down the fuzz on the Q-Tip first, it can help. I used this method on a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) I didn't realise there was a 1x4x3 brick (!!). I've only seen thinwalls and windows of that dimension; the thinwalls, of course, don't count as POOPs, because they perform a service that cannot be rendered with standard bricks--namely, making (...) This just made me fall on the floor, literally... I was utterly amazed of how sick this is. (URL) may induce cesures or other injury- unless you have an exacto knife with a #11 blade and some brasso handy. Pearson (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

I picked up my Brasso at K-mark, but I suppose Walmart has it too. (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.space)
