i have more info to that puzzle. I assembly two mother handy. One work fine , the other only download to a common memory, don't download to a dallas memory !!! I'm stumped. In the process of assembling my first handyboard, I have just reached the stage where I install the memory (all previous checkpoints passed). When pcode is downloaded to the Handy Board, how much memory space does it take up? I am a little concerned about having enough memory space for my programs. Patrik, It could be a memory leak, or maybe a memory fragmentation issue. If the memory manager cannot find a single block of memory large enough for the request it will fail. Mike, IIRC, mm_start is the beginning of the heap. When the system or a user program requests memory (new in C++ or malloc/calloc in C) the memory is taken from this block (from mm_start to the end of memory) What might be confusing is how the (...) Hello, I have been loading an alternative runtime environment (not IC) onto the handy board to test it out, and I want to ensure that all of the RAM is erased before doing so. (...) Umm, not sure what exactly you are asking here. If you have programs loaded in the HB, then you also have the pcode downloaded.
