Re: bad motor output because of lego firmware?!

(...) I suspect part of this delay is inherant to the firmware, and won't be "patchable" In any case, if you want your extender to be something you can market to most users, it should work with the standard firmware, without modification.   Firmware RIS2.0 Linux

I recently bought RIS 2.0 with the idea to use NQC on my Linux computer. Yesterday I tried to locate the firmware from the CD-ROM that comes with the box, but I could not find the firmxxx.lgo file. Can I extract the firmware from the CD-ROM under (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Firmware download troubles

(...) The problem he's describing, if it's the same one I have, is independant of the position, direction, and power level of the tower. It seems to have something to do with BrixCC itself. The only thing I find puzzling is that Matt (the other Matt (...) (22 years ago, 13-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I feel so awful asking this, becuase I'm sure it must have been covered somewhere before - I'm not very good at understanding quite how everything works (API's and includes and so forth - no idea what that stuff is!). Hi all, does the ON/OFF Button work while a program is running with the standard firmware? Or do you need to press RUN to stop it first? Markus. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

RCX 1.5, 2.0 firmware, and remote control

I've got an RCX 1.5, into which I've downloaded the 2.0 firmware. I've just got an Ultimate Accessory Set, and I can't get the RCX to respond to the remote control.   Re: where leJOS firmware ?

  Firmware: IR transmission demystified

IR transmission was pretty tough to get at. Carrier frequency was the final key - there are no crystals to create the IR carrier, so the processor has to provide it.
