  RE: Tasks in RCX

(...) I guess we have enough new users here that I can start flogging pbForth again.....and I just released a new version that lets you build a kernel on the RCX itself!! That's right, the RCX is the compiler so it works with Macs, PCs, Linux, Sun, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Yes, you are right. I have the char delay to about 10 or 20 msec and the line delay at 100msec. Remember that your monitor and other IR sources may interfere with comms to the RCX. Try fresh batteries and put the bot and tower under a box... I (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Steppers: was Old Ground

(...) Dan, How much of a demand do you think there is for this application? How much current do the steppers take, and what is their holding ability? Ther reason I'm asking is that I've developed a servo output driver circuit for the RCX and made (...) (24 years ago, 8-May-00, to lugnet.robotics)

recommendations on new programming language for RCX

Attention programmers (Steve, Brian, Bryan, I'm looking in your direction)--- I'm in need of a recommendation for my next programming language to try. First a little background.   Installation error on New RIS 1.5

Anybody else seen something like this?? I had previously installed the 1.0 CD on my typical WIN95 system: 200Mhz IBM/Cyrix (Pentiumish) CPU, 64 Meg Memory, etc etc, and an ATI Ultra Pro PCI graphics adapter. Yesterday I got a 1.5 MindStorms and (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: RIS version 1.5 coming this fall

(...) It has to be reversible from the RCX brick's point of view, since there is no hardware on the RCX to forcibly reprogram its ROM. Perhaps on the PC side it is not reversible, but there is always the uninstall new, reinstall old process, which I (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
