This is great work! I am always impressed when someone goes
beyond wishing for stuff that LEGO did not provide us with
and then actually builds a working model.
Your idea of a modular motor/input module is one of the great
benefits of CAN, and it makes things a lot cleaner.
I'm still trying to make little robots within the confines of the
RCX system.
I will disagree with you about the RCX not being modular though.
If you use some of the alternative firmware out there (like pbForth)
the RCX bricks can communicate via IR like a little network. Not
as robust as a straight wire, but useful nonetheless.
