  Re: How much memory finally?

Thank for the answer, Dave, this is the kind of info I'm looking for. BUT! I don't think it is correct: 0x8000 is 32k: the firmware would start at the end of memory!?! 0xbfff is 48k: unless the 16k of the rom are counted of course... Then this mean (...)   Re: NQC Ignores based on your pbrink

(...) Yes, I agree with the approach to using __RCX for conditional compile - that's really why its there. I had thought about adding some of the functions (SetSensor() etc.) as no-ops in the Scout API, but this really didn't feel right to me. I (...)   Re: balancing bot

I recently implemented a new motor control "source" specifically targeted at PID algorithms in the new firmware. It takes a signed number in the range -128 to +128 and converts it into a motor control command. -128 to -1 is reverse direction and (...) (20 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) ... (...) ... (...) Add cars to the train. Then, the speeds will make more of a difference. If you're using the Swan firmware, you may have more control over the motor speed.   Re: CPR for RCX?

I don't know much about forth, but I'll try to help. I'm not sure that any firmware (normal) could keep the RCX from turning on. Try taking the batteries out, wait a few minutes, then put the same ones back in. If it turns on, it was the firmware. (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Yes, it was on, and when I picked it up, it was turned off. I thought "No! It's broken!" but you could turn it on, and the firmware was gone. But doesn't the batteries need to be disconnected for like a minute for the firmware to be erased from (...) (24 years ago, 7-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Trains, DCC, and pbForth

All, As I've mentioned before, I have a version of pbForth firmware for the RCX that allows you to control trains modified with DCC controllers.   RE: RCX to RCX NQC

There's another little problem that you may need to program around. There's a bug in the ROM firmware that could end up requiring a 30-millisecond delay between when a RCX sends out a message and when you should start sending the first character of (...)   Support for pbForth in BricxCC

I've started a project recently related to pbForth. And I'm interested in some community feedback.
