| To add some further information, I popped the unit open last night and observed that, as I had hoped, mechanically the unit should be capable of operating correctly. Each motor channel has a mouse style slotted wheel and sensor, so the firmware (...) (21 years ago, 12-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) Andrew, I grabbed a ROM image awhile back using a serial tower and an RCX 1.0. I haven't tried this on a 2.0 brick, but I think the ROMware is identical in all RCX versions. | Hello John, Worked fine for me, with the following setup: RCX2.0, USB tower, BricxCC 3.3.7.6, firm0328.lgo, Win2000. Distance between tower and brick: 20 cm. Download time: 1'25" I tried also 50 cm away (worked) and 1 m away (failed). Philo (21 years ago, 3-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
