| I am very new to Robotics. We got RIS 2.0 a couple of days ago and have been working on getting it set up on the computer. Download the FIRM0328.LGO firmware file instead of the FIRM0309.LGO file before you load your NQC programs into the brick. The newer firmware was supplied with (...) | (...) BricxCC works with XP and both IR towers. The USB tower works with XP. You can get just the USB tower from Pitsco, but I do not know if you can get just the USB tower from LEGO. | Chris, I don't think the RCX will "listen" to the remote, unless you've loaded the firmware. The firmware will need replaced, if the batteries have been removed (or have died). On the RCX, it will show the program number (1-5), and it will also (...) (15 years ago, 26-Oct-09, to lugnet.robotics)
