| Hi Rob, I 've found some beta mistakes. Downloading the firmware firm0328.lgo runs well. That 's not the problem. | (...) No - I'm a Linux user and *none* of the software on the CD would work for me anyway. You don't need spirit.ocx for NQC programming. | Hi Dennis, I have not tried LeJos but if you do get it to work I would love to hear how well it works. I looked at the web site for it and it seems to be a rather feature rich language. | I think that unless you are going to write your own communications routines, you will need spirit.ocx, and use its functions to talk to the RCX. If you do not use standard firmware, you will not need the cd. These options are also generally more (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| I'm trying to download the firmware using MacNQC. When ever I try, I get the problem: Error: No response from IR device. I'm using a Mac beige G3, printer port, OS 9.0.4.
