Hi Dennis,
I have not tried LeJos but if you do get it to work I would love to hear how
well it works. I looked at the web site for it and it seems to be a rather
feature rich language. It even supports floating point math!
My biggest concern is how well it performs compared to the standard
firmware. My experience with my robots is that the performance of the code
is critical. At least for robots like line and edge tracking when I need
the robot to respond to changes in sensor input with minimum delay. I would
love to have the luxury of doing some computation (especially floating point
math) on the input before my robot has completely gone astray.
Anyway, keep us posted on your progress to get LeJos working.
I assume that you are in the Seattle area since you posted this on the SMART
group. I hope to see you next Sunday at our first meeting.
Gus

| Hi all, I've been an NQC user for a couple years now. Now I want to "move up" so to speak and I'm looking at LeJos. Has anyone gotten this to fly and what are the steps to getting it to go? I've already got a 1.2.2 JDK on my laptop and an IDE so I (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.us.smart)
