Hello Lego Fans! This is an announcement for all lego fans who happed to also be baseball fans. I have started a private fantasy baseball league at Yahoo!Sports. It is completely free. The idea is to have a place for likeminded people to play (...) (23 years ago, 7-Mar-02, to lugnet.announce)

  Re: Q-wing

Jon, your work is incredible. Not are these ships ingenius Lego creations worthy of release, but they all fit in so well with the Star Wars line; it's almost as if you are a ship designer for Lucas! These all have perfect attention to detail and are (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Brickfest animation DVDs

Go figure. I lived in Oregon for years, and only now, the first year I am living elsewhere, does Oregon host brickfest. I read up on the "History of Flight" animation contest, and saw that DVD's were going to be made and sold compiling all of the (...) (21 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.events)

  Should I buy?

I don't know if my previous message got posted; I had computer problems. So here it is again. In the most recent shop at home catalogue, in the "limited quantities/last chance" section, they list the 2174 Dragon Fly as one of the sets. On the next (...)   Re: knight's kingdom

Yeah, I would much rather have a LotR theme, but there are descent enough castle elements in HP. speaking of which, I'm trying to build a Hagrid army if anyone wants to help! So what do people think of the new 2002 sets? Personally, I think the new (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Lego and the NBA

I am fairly certain that Lego will not change from yellow faces. For one thing, the yellow face is one of their most famous and endeared trademarks. Everyone identifies with the smiling yello face. Second, if you look at Lego.com where the press (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.sports)

Re: Whats the deal with the Harry Potter sets?

I agree, Allan. It is kind of interesting to ponder, especially if you compare these sets to the the ones, say, twenty years ago. The "bar" for kids was higher then. There wasn't as much cheap entertainment (ie video games). The sets were more (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Lego Ghostbuster figs (you don't have to know GB to help!)

So I have a question: I've decided to try making a lego real ghostbusters theme. This is made easier now with the invent of the basketball figures and all the different hair colors. But I've run into a few stumbling blocks (no pun intended) and (...) (21 years ago, 8-Aug-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: LEGO NBA Draft has started...

Does anyone know how many NBA figures TLC is planning on releasing? I wonder if they have to get permission from the players's agents before making a figure of them? Who are your predictions? What sort of sets do you think we'll see? I'm pretty (...) (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.starwars)

  Sunday as a special day

The idea of keeping the Sabboth (Sunday/Saturday) is an ancient church tradition. I think it holds a lot of merrit regardless of your religious beliefs. While growing up, my family always had "Family Day" every Sunday. My brother and I weren't (...) (23 years ago, 9-Sep-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

  Bionicle Questions

I am a big lego fan, but haven't really gotten into bionicle yet. Thus, as I haven't been following the storyline much, I'm a bit lost. Maybe someone can fill me in. first, do these six toa work together or against each other? At times, I think they (...) (23 years ago, 11-Sep-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: The Chosen one and the balance of the force.

Mike and Dave: I hate to disagree (I read your banter with interest), but I don't think Vader/Ani is the chosen one, rather, I think it is Luke. True, Vader did kill the Emperor in the end, but had it not been for his son, he would have never turned (...) (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  So what do you think?

The newest theme to grace the Lego line is Harry Potter legos. They are based off the incredibly famous books and the soon to be movie. But is Lego going too far? Obviously, these sets will sell. I would like to quickly comment on so many people's objection to Harry Potter.
