Re: Color change: **CEO Draft Letter**

In lugnet.color, Mark Chan wrote: Be honest about what affects you and cut the stuff about kids. Kids don't care too much about colours, and even though I love Lego more than the average person, I can't conceive of using it to teach my daughter (...)   Re: Final draft of the letter?

David, I think that's great. Its honest, heartfelt and doesn't try to stretch the facts. There is nothing in there that the reader could argue with and its not whiny. It also has a "call to action". You may also want to refer to my other post to add (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Halving the colours in the palette - Lego Life Sept 2004

Reducing the number of colours in the palette seems like a win-win. It means Lego can be cheaper, and it also means that AFOLs will find it easier to build a decent selection of parts in each colour. (20 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.color)

(...) (Hefts large clue-stick) The colour change was initiated in 2000 by the Design Group - as an exercise in improving how the colours play together. The palette reduction seems to have been initiated in 2004 by the "Sourcing for the Future" group (...) (20 years ago, 10-Dec-04, to lugnet.color, FTX)
