Re: Interesting Article about LEGO collecting

So I will be doing what you described (hide the inner wheel on the inside of the Thatcher Perkings boiler). From the (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Do these LEGO Windows exist???

(...) Frank, With the 1x6x2 shuttered windows, I have a few questions. Do your CA windows (type1) actually have a 6x2 (LxH) glass panel? Or do your CA windows have a 4x2 glass panel? And with your type 3 windows (the ones without the protruding (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

All Parts from Mos Espa Podrace set#7171 on E-bay!

To All; I have posted several parts lots to E-Bay for my roommate Tony. He has a few extra sets he wants to sell off, so he wants to post all the parts on E-bay of the 7171 Mos Espa Podrace. Since he does not have access to a credit card, I get to (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Target stores are owned by the Target Corp, which until last year were called Dayton Hudson (after the Minneapolis based Dayton's (...) (...) Frank, You shouldn't have too much trouble telling ASB from CA as far as the red windows go. The white ones are a little harder to tell, but just look for a little warpage. When I get home tonight, I will be checking all my 1x6x3 classic (...) (24 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) Boy Frank you sure did "open up a can of worms"....... I checked last night. I have about 130 of the red 1x6x2 shuttered windows. And I checked each and every one. And guess what. There are 6 (!!!!) varieties to this window. All of them can (...) (24 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks Ben, I guess Frank is busy right now. :-) I also have some of the 1x2x1 and 1x1x2 windows in red or white without the glass (some are in mint condition). Most of these are from Germany. Were these always supposed to have the glass? If (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) Hey Frank, I know that you 've been hoarding those small yellow classic windows (1x1x1, 1x2x1, 1x1x2). Can you give me a breakdown of the ones you have, and their type. My population in these is not as big as I would like (never is), but they (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

(...) Good God Frank, this must have taken you a lot of time! Thanks for the update. I think that with CA windows, only the 1x6x2 shuttered window had more than 2 versions. All other CA windows had only 2 styles - the 1957 version, and the 1958-64 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: When is Lego actually considered old?

(...) Ahhhhhh yessssss...... old LEGO. Cellulose Acetate was the material used in LEGO from the mid 50's thru 1963, although I have seen a few pieces it in sets as recent as 1966. Here's a rule of thumb, if it doesn't fit well, it's probably CA. If (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)

Yes 32 is the width of the regular road plated. 48 is the width of the large gray plates. 50 is the width of the 60's - 70's version of the same gray plate. 50 is also the size of the very first road plate, the '68-'71 (Samsonite only) 50x50 (...)
