Yes 32 is the width of the regular road plated. 48 is the width of the large gray
plates. 50 is the width of the 60's - 70's version of the same gray plate. 50 is
also the size of the very first road plate, the '68-'71 (Samsonite only) 50x50
green plate with the squiggly "Y" road pattern (without road markings).

| (...) I really hope to get one of these original road plates at some point, but then I'll have to figure out how to deal with it not being a multiple of 16x16 (I'd probably end up cutting newer baseplates). (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)
