| | Re: Sticker Shock...Lego Direct?

| (...) I think that you "hit the nail on the head" Richard. They aren't doing this for charity. They are doing it to make money. And if it involves labor intensive processes, you can bet that the 5 cent parts will only be found in the buckets and (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego)

| | Re: the latest news
|
| (...) As someone who has a large collection of rare pieces, I am totally in agreement with mass producing them. I won't be hurt, because buying more of them means that I will now be able to build grander and more detailed buildings. Yeah I have 42 (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

| | Re: Old LEGO
|
| (...) I have been thinking about this topic for a very long time. My take on this is that in lugnet.general, the most people will be exposed to the history behind LEGO. If we were to make say a lugnet.history, or a lugnet.classic, perhaps a lot of (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Window questions for Brad Justus
|
| Dear Brad, In addition to my previous question about the classic era windows, here is an example of the early Continental European LEGO Windows & Doors box from the late 1950's. If classic windows are a possibility for the future, here is an example (...) (25 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

| | Rare 1958 Dealers Windows & Door Box
|
| I know that ordinarily this info is for lugnet.auctions, but for the sake of educating AFOLs, I thought I would mention (and show) this. It seems that Mike Poindexter is selling some of his "crown jewels" on EBAY. The very rare European LEGO Dealers (...) (25 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Scans of 1960's ads
|
| (...) Thanks Tore! I had your old site in my bookmarks, so now this is replacing it. One of the things I like about these old ads from Sweden is that they show dates at the bottom (2 of 3 do). One of the things I don't like about early LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Original contents of 700/3A ?

| (...) Chris, Phil is a wealth of knowledge about LEGO, especially UK specific LEGO. I was unaware of a lot of early UK only LEGO items, such as a UK specific Town Plan Board (#200 - Scott A. had a post about this FOTY), UK only early Lamp Posts, UK (...) | | Re: Damaged MINT Lego?
|
| (...) I too have had very few experiences of mis-shaped bricks/pieces. I have a very large collection, and only about 12 pieces are misshapen. Of these, 5 are from a 1957 set #700 (wooden box), and these 5 are more cosmetic blemishes than actually (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: LEGO 2x4's change throughout the ages...

| Funny you should mention this. About 3 months ago I was searching for some black 2x4 bricks for a fellow builder. And I came across 11 different styles of this brick. 3 Cellulose Acetate brick varieties, and 8 ABS brick varieties. About 1/3 of these (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.general)
