Re: COMPLETE LIST OF NEW SETS FOR 2000

(...) Well I've been sick all weekend and just read all this Monday AM. I'm not going to respond to any specific details, but I did want to say that Todd & Suzanne are correct, and in one specific area (I won't get into the legal-ese). We don't (...)   Re: My dream about LEGO

(...) Rachel, Phil Traviss is truly a great guy. He is also relatively new to LUGNET. And he doesn't post much. But let met tell you something. I would rate him in the top 10 of people who are most knowledgeable about LEGO. He and I (along with (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: Happy December!

(...) Yes, it is illegal to SELL brandy fill chocolates in most USA states, because the state Liquor Control Commissions in each state are narrow minded. But you can bring them into the USA from Germany. Some states allow them, a few exceptions (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: 2000 Dealer catalogue Removal Request Backfire?

Wow Frank, Well stated! I can't argue with that. One other item of discussion (I'm not sure this was answered, since I'm having server problems, and haven't read all of the lugnet.general posts), Ben had a 1993 Dealer Catalog. Should/can/may he post (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.general)

Re: This dropped out of the papers this weekend...

Some of the earliest LEGO pictures showing adults building LEGO was from LEGO Building Idea Book #1 (the first LEGO idea book issued 1960-67). Check out the last few pictures in this website (it'll take a while to load the pictures): (URL) the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

Is LUGNET.GENERAL the most read subtopic?

Someone in a post about the 2000 dealer catalog fiasco mentioned lugnet.announce as being more widely read than lugnet.general. Is that true? I would tend to think that lugnet.general was the most widely read. I rarely read the others, because it (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks for the vote of confidence Lindsay! Even though I have been building Gothic Cathedrals since 1983, I haven't really been doing rose windows.   Reinventing the minifig

There's currently a discussion happening in lugnet.starwars concerning a minifig scale Millenium Falcon model. It seems to me that a lot of people are hampered by "minifig scale." I believe Gary Istok has mentioned that he doesn't even use minifigs (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)
