I know that off and on some people get burned on a deal and want to announce
the bad trader's name to the world.  I know that I have been burned pretty
badly at least three times in the last six months and the gods know I wanted
to announce it too!  For what it is worth, I found that telling about it
without neccesarily naming names helped a lot.  Perhaps you recall my story of
twice being burned on Black Knight horse bardings -- and yet the names were
withheld to protect the guilty ::grumble, grumble::

[BTW, send me your unwanted Black Knight Horse bardings -- I can provide a
happy home for them...]

The point being that no one is perfect, except me, and that most people will
eventually meet you at least half way on the sticking point when the deal goes
bad.  Often those one or two pieces are not included because the seller did
not recently assemble the set -- perhaps that's why they are trading it, after
all!  I am not excusing it, Lego costs far more dearly in waisted time and
money than it should -- and nothing quenches the flames of desire for the
STILL needed element, does it?  I think I have come to lust after ABS more so
than human flesh, the latter being easier to come by (that's right, Baby, give
me the plastic tease...!)

Bad dealers come and go by their very nature, while the good dealers stay on.
Maybe as a service for those climbing aboard the lego collecting ship as it
pulls out into the rough seas of trade we should concentrate on creating a
good seller list somewhere?  I think we should emphasize the good over the
bad.  Perhaps dealing amongst the honorable will raise the standard for this
whole field of collecting and eBay be damned -- although the lure of "strange"
plastic can be overwhelming sometimes, I know...

I could nominate the likes of Craig Hamilton, Julie Krenz, Kevin Wilson, Josh
Opotzner, Arnold Staniczek, and some others for inclusion on such a list.

AND, I am still working out a Lego condition grading system too...

I dunno, just a thought or two to warm my grey matter up for the huge amount
of homework I am avoiding...

Maybe you should also start a GOOD PROCRASTINATORS LIST as well as a GOOD TRADER
LIST.  Put me down at the top of that one.  Sometimes I don't get to shipping
stuff or money out right away (life gets crazy sometimes), but then when I do get
to it, I end up feeling guilty and will overcompensate the person(s).  Like
slipping in an extra $10 in the envelope, or adding a bunch of extra Tiles, or
inverse sloped corner bricks, or a LONDON BUS Sticker Sheet to the package.

Sometimes I may be a putz, but I am a generous putz.
