  Re: 10x20 green baseplates

Hey thanks Bill! That makes perfect sense to me. I always think of 1972-73 as a milestone in LEGO History. They changed the LEGO logo, TLG bought back the lisencing from Samsonite (KKK came to the USA to help open TLG USA), the first of the Lego (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Heh-heh (Larry, you are sooooooo wicked). When I was interviewed by the Canadian Broadcast Corp. reporters back in 1987 (for a TV news show on 25 years of LEGO in Canada), I used the term "coming out of the LEGO closet". After all isn't LEGO an (...) (25 years ago, 26-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Road baseplates

I've got about 8 different of the early grey roadplates that have islands and other "forks in the road". These are of the type without bikepaths/sidewalks.   An evening with Larry Pieniazek.

Larry Pieniazek was in the Detroit metro area yesterday, and stopped by for the evening. After reading all of his posts, as well as the flamage going his way, I didn't know what to expect. (...) Yes, I did notice that. It was also in the Building Idea Book #1. It looks like LEGO and Maersk have been cooperating for a long time. Maybe Maersk is the official truck hauling company for TLG, and always has been. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Hi folks, I just want to know how many Michigan folks are interested in attending a Michigan Legofest (at my place in St. Clair Shores - near I-94/I-696 interchange)? Possibly in late September or early October. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi)
