  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

(...) So why can't you just buy sets and give him only the "approved parts"? (...) A real conviction should triumph over this, hands down. (...) Your argument is divided between building and play. In building, it is impossible to determine what will (...) (20 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  F40PH-2 MOC

Over the last couple of months I've been playing with a virtual MOC of the F40 PH-2. I usually like to build the real thing first then do an LDRAW version later. This avoids inadvertant impossible brick configurations and the resulting rendered (...) (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: parts DESPERATLY wanted (steve: please read)

(...) Umm, I must have misunderstood here. Based on Manfred's response, I thought you meant that the new green roadplates had the same printing as the previous gray plates. I checked, and this is impossible, because the new green plates have 8 studs (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 1999 Technic

I am thinking about getting that Supercar, and I am not even a Technic "head". :) Based on the discussions regarding bulk orders and TLG's internal processes, getting different groups to talk to each other sounds almost impossible. Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Retarders (was Re: Train Stoppers)

(...) How about using the FO pieces rased using a pnumatic cylinder? I don't imagine that you would manage to build a hump yard except on a 'special' table, so the mounting wouldn't be impossible, but they would work OK I think for use as retarders. (...)   Re: New Pics of my Hiawatha Locomotive

(...) Thank you. (...) Cornering, of course, is the rub when creating larger locos because of the unnaturally tight curvature of the track. We are trying to design something that works yet in real life is impossible. So compromises are inevitable. (...) (24 years ago, 20-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Review of 7106 Droid Escape

I can't wait to get my hands on those 4x4x6 curved wall pieces! Those will be great architectural building components! You can build up walls like this using the 4x4x1 curved pieces, but its almost impossible to get enough to do anything with. (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)
