Re: New sculpture: Geoffrey the Giraffe

(...) Well, they haven't supplied me with any bricks quite yet. I had bought the bricks with my own funds before they'd requested the sculpture. If they decide they can handle the price, they will pay me for the sculpture, at which time I'll glue it (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Retro Rocket - (Warning....Bonktron related post)

(...) IMPOSSIBLE!! Space Air is the single greatest limit to space exploration that we have ever known. Maybe you didn't realize that it was --POISONOUS--?? Poisonous Space Air is so goshdarned horrible that it'll kill anything it touches. Even (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: How much weight can a LEGO chassis carry around?

If they can build bridges that can take a few something like 28-30 kilos of weight, then handling a laptop is not impossible. It would really be a matter of doubling up load-bearing beams and supporting them with the right structure, being aware of (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

(...) Good question. No not really. I did find that once the entire structure was in place, the weight on it pressing down making the vibration less as it was more solid, plus the weight of the inner gantry helps surpress the fan noise more so then (...) (...) I firmly believe that. There is a famous 'proof' that AI is impossible - "The Chinese Room" argument by John Searle. The idea is that someone who only speaks English is imprisoned in a room. He is given long and complex instructions for (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Interior modeling techniques?

(...) I don't think there is necessarily a "best" way. On MOCs, I usually build the exterior and then fill the interior to suit it, with perhaps a minor amount of planning during construction to be sure the interior space is adequate for minifigs. (...) (23 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.space)

  Interior modeling techniques?

I'm afraid I've never mastered the art of interior design, when it comes to Lego craft. Seeing some of the models, most recently Bram's latest wonder, has made me really want to work on improving that. I like to think I do a good job on the (...) (23 years ago, 30-May-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Finding a rotation matrix for a triangle
