| | Allow myself to indroduce... myself
| Hello, I'd like to introduce myself to the Australian Lego community. My name, as you have probably already worked out, is Allister Mclaren. I've just recently come out of the 'dark ages' as I've seen them referred to, when I was searching for some (...) (22 years ago, 2-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

| | Re: Now what?
| (...) Like I posted before in various threads I agree we are not the target market. Maybe if you have the finances to buy tons of sets just to get a few parts you need you can build whatever you like, most of us probably can't. And even then, some (...) | | Re: Bulk Bricks, Plates at S@H
| (...) Is this a joke? Finding the bulk listings has become almost impossible on Lego.com. Amongst the 45 bulk offerings are small sets that do not qualify as any kind of bulk. The price for common bricks remains higher from S@H than from sellers on (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

| | Re: MPD spec
| (...) Have you considered that that means that MPD files will no longer be able to be rendered by LDraw? (or have I overlooked something?) (...) Yes, but it is a single-level subroutine system like in C. (I complain about it in C, but that is (...) (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dev)

| | Re: Technic's Dead (was: I need Technic)
| (...) As blunt and unsubstantiated as this statement is, I must agree with it. There is something intangible about what makes Technic (and LEGO bricks as a whole) so good. (...) I wonder sometimes if it isn't the educators, researchers and (...) (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

| | Re: Say it ain't so...
| (...) Well, this is particularly new for me, because I don't go a a TRU every other weekend. Even during the holiday season, It's hard to find good sets at a decent price. Heck, most of the newer lines are too juniorized or overspecizliaed, and (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town)

| | Re: Brainstorms

| Hi, I've been having headaches for over two nights now trying to figure something out for my animation program. I have made it possible to change the rotation point of an model. | | Re: Brainstorms

| (...) <snipped some reasonable arguments> This is why I recommend that 'brainstorms' goes with something like I2C. That protocol is fast and built into the chip. No software serial I/O is ever needed and every chip already speaks the protocol so (...) (22 years ago, 11-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| Firstly, I'm going to do a "me too" and say what a fantastic time the RLD/LLW experience was - this was my first time, and if you haven't done it already, you will not be disappointed. I can't really justify going back in October :-( but I will (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
