eBay Auction - "Free" #3438 McDonalds Restaurant

I'm trying out my eBay legs with a little experiment. You can get a #3438 McDonalds Restaurant and if it works out, you could actually end up making money by buying it. Let's see how this works out. (URL) tried to be informative as much as possible (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: A large Steam Locomotive

I actually am looking at the same thing. Not all Model Team sets are incompatible with mini-fig scale. Most are larger than that, just due to the fact that they are big sets. Imagine how much larger a Locomotive is when compared to a semi truck. To (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Going about building a Medieval Bridge...

Hi Eric, I don't know too much about lego bridges, but I have seen a couple of bridges in my (short) life ;-) I don't know if they were medieval or not, but heck, it's worth a shot... (They were all in Israel, maybe Crusaders era?) All of these (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) It hasn't come to me yet. From the box update page (and the order in which we signed up) it looks like I should be getting it first when it comes back to the US. I've yet to be contacted for my address for that box, so I assume that someone in (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Help...?

My Slave-1 didn't come with Boba Fett's helmut/backpack piece. What is the process to get this replaced - or should I try to take it back to Wal Mart as an opened box? I am in Knoxville, TN EC (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  RE: Home-made Light Bricks

I would avoid exceeding the current rating on a LED, even for a fast pulse. It's much easier to design a circuit with the proper current limiting resistor, then to experiment with pulse widths. A wrong pulse width, with no current limiting, will fry (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: New Train Window Ideas (old and copied)

(...) That it is! Love that piece! (...) Yes, and with the "bottom" having two attachment points, (1.2 and 1x1 w/side stud turned sideways) the top having only one should still be plenty to keep the windows securely held. (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Train Window Ideas (old and copied)

(...) Huh? What do I know?? Which end are we talking about - the 'top' of the windows or the 'bottom'? For the bottom use Larry's favorite piece - the Technic 1.2 peg (or whatever it's called). For the 'top', use the same technique, but in reverse - (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Train Window Ideas (old and copied)

(...) What you want is studs arranged vertically that are the proper spacing apart. I think that the technic on the bottom and the 1x1 with side stud on top (turned sideways) will give you the proper spacing. Haven't checked. (...) Forgot about that (...)   Re: Positioning

  Re: BayLTC Logo finished

That would apply to shades of gray as well. I would suspect that printing pink or yellow or light blue on a sticker that goes over a black piece will likely have some color bleed through, also. Why not just print the sticker on white adhesive paper (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.org.us.baylug, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.publish)

  Re: BayLTC Logo finished

Some bad news... As you all may know PNLTC has recently adopted a new logo ((URL) found that any logo with "white" in it has trouble! Most (99%) printers don't print white.   Re: PowerBook G3 IR Port?

(...) Two things: 1. The proper cable to hook a Mindstorms IR Tower to a Mac isn't that creative; it's available from (URL) in the RoboLab components page. It's just a Mac serial to 9-pin serial cable. 2. There shouldn't be any reason that the IR (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
