Re: Newbie (to the group) Question

Jon, (...) May I be the first to say welcome to the collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :) Anyway, Anakin Podracer is almost identical in terms of the podracer itself. The one in 7171 has more minifigs, etc. (...) My guess is (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: The Lepanadat Project (update 1)

If I can get somebody to get the nomenclature down, I will offer to set up a database that will accept the inventories. I was starting on that same project, but it was indeed too immense for me to do alone. I would really like to see an updated (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

Re: Destroyer Droid - Help w/ unrolling

Correct me if I am wrong. Alot of the areas where people are having problems with the legs unfolding, are held together with the L shaped flat technic pieces. I found the flash on mine to be sticking out too far to allow a pair of these to sit flush (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Newbie (to the group) Question

(...) You are correct, sir... Anakin's Podracer is comprised of nothing but pieces that are already included in Mos Espa Podrace... (...) Same here-- the only reason I bought Anakin's Podracer was because it's the cheapest way to get Padme's hair (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Review 7115 - Gungan Patrol

(...) Doesn't that just suck? I mean, here's this company with an great history of design and development, they managed to make the mini-figure, only 45mm tall, with 7 points of articulation. Yet they can't make a large animal-figure with even 1 (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: ldglite (ldlite for OpenGL and Linux) new stuff

(...) $ cd /usr/X11R6/lib $ ls -la *GL* ls: *GL*: No such file or directory $ ls -la *gl* ls: *gl*: No such file or directory Hmm, maybe that's the problem. I didn't think of making the symlinks from there because it stopped complaining at me when I (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Newbie (to the group) Question

(...) Jon, Welcome. The model is the same as the one in 7171 - Mos Espa Podrace minus a couple of figs. The only reason I got one of the Anakin's Podracer sets was to get another Padme hair piece. (...) I would tend to agree with you on this (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Newbie (to the group) Question

First off, lemme say I LOVE SW and the SW Legos. I've been gettin' 'em all. Except 1 set. Anakin's Podracer. From what I could tell, it was identical to the one in the big box of 3 podracers. Am I right? If not, I guess I better go grab it... I (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Geocities 403 Error

Is anyone else getting a 403 Forbidden error from Geocities? I've been getting one all morning and am not sure if it's me, or Geocities. It seems to extend through all of their "neighborhoods". -Duane (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego(R) Numbering. What happens when we run out of numbers?

(...) Not exactly sure what TLC will do with future numbering. But if the past is any indication (enter "725" in the LUGNET database and see how many entries there are) set number reuse is much more frequent than one might think. Gary Istok (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Seinfeld Reference in this months Mania Magazine

Hi All, I just got the current Mania magazine yesterday and noticed a funny reference from Seinfeld on one of the pages. About half way through the magazine is a town scene with a "spot the errors" type of game. There is a female minifigure on (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Positioning

Re: ldglite (ldlite for OpenGL and Linux) new stuff

Nutz! You've exhausted all my easy guesses. Now I'll actually have to think about this... Perhaps there's something funny about the Mesa installation. I just went with what installed automatically from the Mandrake CD. However I did have to make (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
