If I can get somebody to get the nomenclature down, I will offer to set up a
database that will accept the inventories. I was starting on that same
project, but it was indeed too immense for me to do alone. I would really
like to see an updated Parts Inventory Repository that would work offline.
As best I can see, it will come in a couple of phases:
#1 - Make a master file of all known available elements that is searchable
across several known naming conventions (Tim Vattima's, Auczilla, TLC
Element#, LDraw #, LDraw name, etc.)
#2 - Make a master file of sets known to exist (already done via Pause)
#3 - Create an updateable database that contains inventories of sets from #2
with pieces from #1. Allow newly entered data to be uploaded to a central
area. Allow updates from central area to be added to off-line copies
(inventories and new parts).
Todd has pretty much gotten #2 done, with a few missing items. Although I
cannot speak for him, I would assume he would give the go ahead to use his
info on this. I would be willing to do #3 and I spoke with Tim Vattima
earlier and he said that as long as the program was free, he would donate
his data.
That leaves us at step #1. Ball's in your court.

| Mike, I have consolidated Margo's castle/pirate inventories into one file with the fields Set Number, Quantity, Part Description, and Colour. I could extract a list of unique contents of Part Description as well, and I'm working on adding the field (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

| Has anyone heard anything more about this project? The site has apparently not been updated since the 22nd of September 1999. In the absence of any substantive news, I have embarked on my own consolidation of piece descriptions and image files. It (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.db.brictionary)
