  Re: Bucket surgery

(...) Could you cut off the end-sections from the bar, and use those to reattach the handle? Seems like too much work for me. I'd just leave the handles off. But it should work. Steve (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Unknown Part

The context for this thread (and consequently, the part definition) don't appear for me, so I'm going on educated guesswork, but the element that's being referenced was originally a Fabuland element (see 3671 Airport, from 1984, where it came in (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Workspace

(...) I've had lofts with stairs. Well, somewhere between stair-steps and a ladder. It's a matter of selective compression. Lofts are useful in another way--in college, I put my alarm clock on the 'main floor'. That way, I'd have to get up to turn (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Workspace

(...) Nah, that doesn't really make a difference. Trust me. Steve (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Workspace

(...) The answer to both questions is: depends on your preferences. I had a loft with only enough room to roll over (and sometimes I hit my elbow on the ceiling in mid-roll). If you've got a plywood board on the frame(1), boxspring is not required (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Steve (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)

  *sigh*

Upon closer inspection of the 1999 Lego set scans, I noticed that the new Ninja sets are shown with firing cannons...why oh why must they torture us Americans with pictures of things we'll never see again? Chad (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Why do I beat my head against the wall?

(...) Even if the minimum time was 2-3 hours, it would make a big difference. That would deal with most of the arguments about people getting swooped minutes before the auction closes, and being physically unable to find out they had lost the bid (...)   Four New Rigs at Sixby Fire Tech

I just today added four new rigs to Sixby Fire Tech. Two of them have been in the works for awhile, and many have seen the preview LDraw plans for the Sixby Pumper II. I have added the Pumper II and the Groundhog II to the site. Both of these (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) If the rock elemental is made from bricks, it's very cool. If it's a new 'action figure', then it's acceptable. If it's a non-poseable waste of plastic, then it's ... well, it's a waste of plastic. (...) :) (...) Unfortunately, I feel you (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: LUGnet historical moment -- (was: Got 1999 mini catalog!)

(...) RTL is _very_ second place to me now. Disorganized is definitely the word for it. I can find what I want relatively quickly, and that helps immensely. It's how I like to keep my lego pieces - organized and found quickly. No thanks to me, (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Perhaps a Princess... wrote in message <363dd0c4.56856167@2...63.236>... (...) Well, that limits your options doesn't it? I dry and sort my Legos on my bed. On the rare occasion that I have legos to wash. I can't believe I've stooped to that. I even (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: 1999 Sets...shameful?

Lifted up the slice, and from the bottom fell the bug........ I just hope, pray, that that "extra crunchy base" weren't more beetles....... Richard Franks wrote in message <363CD248.2BC1@__no_...er.com>... (...) (27 years ago, 1-Nov-98, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) That would be very sad, if the licensing limitations go beyond the minifigs, and ship designs. But I think "elements" in this case is a general term, refering to "things identifiable as Star Wars". As opposed to "elements" meaning "LEGO bricks (...)   Re: Backgrounds in POVray

(...) <snippage> Views of the Solar System is a very cool site. Funny, I've had it bookmarked for over a year and never thought to use it. Careful, though. Some images are copyrighted, if I remember correctly. Try out this site too. Way cool (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) Geez, those SPUDs on the Throwbots look useless. Worse than Znap. Maybe they're TLG's version of Robotix? At least Town Center looks like it has a decent boat. Steve (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.starwars)
