(...) I noticed the crawler! Hooray! The shuttle, could this be a Pegasus rocket, or Hermes space plane? I do find it hard to believe that this is *all* we are going to receive in the way of new sets. So few SW sets, and only a tiny adventurer set? (...) (...) The two piece-related acronyms currently in use refer to body functions or are in relation to body functions. This tradition should continue, and the piece should be called TIRD.   Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

Snowspeeder is originally small vehicle already. It has less than Half of the Length of X-wing, according to the blue prints of Hoth Base hangar from the SW Technical Journal. It looks just OK (if it has a place at cockpit back for a second (...) (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

Hey, it's not an A-wing, It's a Snow Speeder. For the B-wings, It should be included to the first way of sets I think. Since the second way of sets will be featuring the new triology of old times (according to the press releases) and B-wing was not (...) (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets

(...) I take the view that the pieces are probably quite versatile. Lots of pieces seem to have some kind of ball joint coupling, which is kinda scarce in Technic at the moment. I'll be crossing fingers! :-) Fredrik (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Scans Ready: Star Wars, Rock Raiders, and other 1999 sets.

(...) I have a strange feeling that all the Star Wars sets will be expensive due to licensing fees. I see an A-Wing, X-Wing, and a Y-Wing. Where's the B-Wing? Maybe in 2000. Alan (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.starwars)

My thoughts on the 1999 sets: Star Wars ---...--- Actually, about what I expected. I was tying to keep my expectations down, so I am pleased by what I see. The minifigs are great. I am ecstatic about the snow speeder, which was always my favorite (...) (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Wow. wowwowowow. The Star Wars sets look really good, I think. The snow speeder is great. You know, those Insectiod 4x4 half-domes are starting to look a lot like Star Destroyer shield generators, don'tcha know. The speed bike set is a fantastic (...) (27 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)
