Re: SW Sets you don't want to see but know you will

(...) Seriously? Take a look at the Fright Knights sets -- you'll find millions, all identical. Armies of evil clone-witches.... In fact, I bet if you asked nicely, someone here would trade you one for a Timmy. :) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) I agree -- and, they've opened the whole sexism can-o-worms by making only a tiny percentage of the people female. Back when the faces were generic, that was totally up to the person playing. (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New vs. old (was Re: More 1999 Figs... ?)

(...) I dunno. They've got the legos, which would be more useful if they were movable, but still can be applied elsewhere. And the wings are pretty special-purpose, but they look cool anyway. :) What other specialized pieces are you referring to? (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Shop at home?

(...) This whole footnote thing started mostly as a joke, and now it's getting out of hand. You're catching me in inconsistencies! Augh. OK: (2) footnote 0 is 0 because it refers to something from another append so the footnote anchor isn't visible (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Hate the current boxes

(...) Some months ago I bought a cheap Megabloks space set, and the only thing I liked about it was the packaging. It came in a small, shallow stackable tub which seemed ideal for storing small parts. If all Lego sets came in this sort of container, (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Reverse Auction for Halloween Buckets

(...) May as well change n to a number too low to make it worth mentioning :( - the Ohio Targets (at least Columbus and Cincinnati) have been out of buckets for a couple weeks now.   Re: What are the best lego places in South Bay?

not that this is the mindstorms set, but I was shocked to see about 30 motor kits at the local target store in Pal Alto shopping center.   Re: New Auction: Trains & Century Skyway

(...) Here's a vouch for Eric, he's solid. Some comments: (1) (...) If this one goes for much over 200, I may have to dust one of mine (new in box) off, I seem to recall them as going for a bit under this price. It's a must have set for Trainies, (...)   Warehouse clubs (was Re: Sorting

(...) Hmm... well we can hope that if there's a restock maybe Costco will have GCJ too. I'd get more of those! As for getting a BJ's card I think two of these is enough. Wish Sam's carried better toys, I like them better overall. ++Lar ======== (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)

(...) I like the variety of newer faces for lego minifigs, but in some cases, I think TLG's gone too far*. I mean, printing a very intricate face on the standard yellow LEGO head seems a bit like putting a spoiler on a Model-T IMO. That's not to say (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Question of rareness... 4559, 4548

(...) Both sets are still current. In fact, 4559 comes with the speed regulator 4548 included. Any train set is worth the money in my opinion ! Grahame Reid (27 years ago, 25-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)

I can see why, those are pretty cool little sets, AND they are copies of older US sets. I wouldn't mind having some of them either. Hopefully they'll show up somewhere again.
