Well, it took me less than an hour from preliminary announcement to posting, but the "Which Set Should I Buy" FAQ is now ready for viewing.   Re: What's Off-Topic?

Found this while browsing www.lugnet.com/reviews/ looking for a review of the Lego R/C Racer. The entire thread is (URL) . Very amusing! It starts off well, but digresses in directions of castle sets, Larritarianism, Monty Python, etc., etc. While (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: RCX Output (Train applications)

Wow, what an excellent description. I look forward to trying this out over the holidays. I had one other idea that may explain my initial failure. The track layout I was using was rather large, in fact it took up the entire living room using nearly (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  sticky proggy?

Is there a program available suitable for animation where I can load the LDraw file (converted to *.DXF or whatever) and make the hinges move as they would in real life? It's a pain to have to realign each part manually and not have it automatically (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad)

  building walkers

Hi. As I recall, there is a video clip of a six or eight leg walker in the CD rom for Baum's book and on the Mindstorms CD rom as well.   spectre update #2 12/16

There's not much to put in this one, but there is something: I've been putting off doing much real work on Spectre lately, but I do have most of send.c factored. I'll be posting it along with a beta-quality Seance spec tonight or tomorrow, depending (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.dk)

  Lego Deals/Off Topics

Todd - I read what I want from the list, and delete what I am not interested in. But, more often than not, I really enjoy the sensor emails, etc., as I am learning more and more about Legos, RIS, etc. So, this list is WONDERFUL, as is. Also, has (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
