  RE: RCX Output

Thanks for the much-needed input. My goal was/is to eventually build a fun, interactive multiple train layout with seemingly random events triggered by multiple networked RCX's. It looks like I may be designing a machine that manually turns the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Ultimate LEGO Book - Frustration

OK, this has been posted before, but I'll post it again: the Ultimate LEGO Book can be frustrating. I've got a copy of this book (actually, Kristin got it from my co-worker's wife, who's a DK consultant, so is Krissy, but she doesn't have cool (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.books)

4565 for $99.99 from ZanyBrainy - get it NOW before they're all gone!

Several people have noted that ZB has the 4565 train on sale for $99.99... Well, I called around this morning, and my local one didn't seem to have them on sale. Soooo, I started calling other states. Several stores were all out already, even though (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New Dave Baum Book?

(...) Well said, Terry. I often fear that my half-siblings are being raised in a vastly different environment than I was, but then I see them eagerly build their own designs out of lego, and figure most things will work out. Giving kids the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ship Power Core

(...) I haven't tried this, but you should be able to build an 8x8 circle out of four 4x4 quarter-disc bricks (plus some pieces to hold the 4x4's together). It wouldn't look as good as the 8x8 dish, but it probably wouldn't suck. BTW, the 4x4 (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: What to start out with?
