I just found this site through Lugnet and was wondering if anyone was still monitoring it. Drop me a line if anyone is taking notice. (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: States Go After Online Auctions; $1000 fines

I got a little carried away. Sure, you could easily make the lots viewable locally. Still at best, the Massachusetts law (and others) is ill-worded to apply to online auctions. Which underscores the real risk, that existing laws will be clumsily (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) ...Cool! :-, I've needed this functionality on my NT box for a *long* time, and it never occurred to me that MS could've gotten this one right. ;-) Thanks! Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: New castle! Huge pieces abound!

(...) <sigh> Oh well. At least it's castle. Demented and sad, but castle.(1) Well, get out that big "sucker!" stamp, and apply it straight to my forehead, because I'm going to go right out and buy them anyway. (as soon as I see them up here in (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What is the IP for ldraw.org?

(...) In Windows, looks for the hosts file in the main Windows directory. If it isn't there, create one. If you use Notepad, be sure it doesn't change the filename to hosts.txt when you save it. Steve (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw DAT certification for clones?

(...) Question #20. I don't about "official", but I have some other words to describe it... That article (question 20) is too large for the FAQ, and should be broken out as a separate item/page on the website. (...) Seems like the best way to go (...)   Re: New castle! Huge pieces abound!

(...) Nope. The newer pirate ships use this to attach the spars to the masts. I just bought a horde from MA12 so I can convert all my pirate ships to studs up spars (so figs can stand on them). Hm, now if I can find red 1x4 plate w/towball, I could (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: More studs in holes...

I reexamined my rack-and-pinion design, and couldn't find another easy-to-implement way to mount the bricks, other than the studs-in-axle holes method. So, I'm pleased that I _probably_ won't wreck any pieces. --Doug Wilcox WordSmith Digital (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

Re: using "lego" in domain names

(...) Yeah. The USPTO has a searchable database at <URL:(URL). There's also a few others which provide prettier front ends to the same data.
