Re: Good lightweight shelving for display?

(...) Not exactly Lego related, but I'm getting a new 36" TV for my birthday and I was thinking of maybe buying that TV cart/stand they sell to hold me over while I work on a plan to build my own - wonder if it would support the weight of the tv (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)

(...) You may want to put your files into the MPD format so that people can view the models without cutting and pasting[1]. Just put 0 FILE filename.dat as the first line of eac of your DAT files when you post them, or use M-Peedy to compile all of (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.trains)

(...) Yeah, I do have a disturbing self-righteous streak sometimes ;) If it hadn't been so late I might have phrased it differently - sorry if the way I said it got up anyones nose! Richard (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  FA: 677 Knight's Procession

Well ... in a recent package that came I found six little minifigs from 677: Knight's procession. Looking around, I found the instructions and put the set togethter to the best of my ability. To make a short story even longer, I took some scans and (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Suggestions for Virus Management

I'm inclined to agree. These things are not easy to trace. I think this guy was one of those people who wouldn't process the unsubscribe correctly. But, honestly, I can't find his name in my records. So really, I don't know who this guy is, let (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Update Auction 9 Volt Train Sets

* * * Auction 9 Volt Train Sets * * * Hi, I got some detailed questions about the box of set 4558. To be absolutely clear: the box is missing the front side cover. The other part (with the 'windows' to see the parts) is ok. Regards, Ton L Set Name (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Wheat Thins vs. LEGO

(...) No, all Wheat Thins sound like BURPs, post consumption. I think you need to spend more time outside... Eat more protein, Aaron maniac@vol.com (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Dave Baum Book?

I agree, I also ordered the book largely as a way to repay Dave. Of course, I expect to enjoy the book too! Thanks Mark and Dave (and Kekoa too), I wouldn't have bought the RCX without this software being available. --Mike Kory Nick Taylor (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Dave Baum Book?

I just ordered Dave's book last night, so I can't comment about its content ... but if the book arrives with ALL BLANK PAGES I'll still feel that I got the best of the deal ... been using NQC for over a year and it hasn't cost me a cent! If Mark (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Scout memory map and variable extraction

Bert , If you add your offset then we agree! I was looking at your memmap.dat (I opened in Notepad). I had said hex 233 for the pointer to the start of the first subroutine. To translate this to your memory map: 0x233 - 0x40 + 1 = 0X1F4 which is 500 (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Wheat Thins vs. LEGO

I picked up some Nabisco Wheat Thins at the grocery store the other day, and I noticed that it "sounds" JUST LIKE LEGO! Try that next time you're at the store. Shake a box of Wheat Thins and listen. IMO it sounds exactly like a box of LEGO! This box (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  RE: New Dave Baum Book?

In a nutshell, both books are excellent. Jonathan's unofficial guide is a great overview and starting point for the many different languages that have sprung up around the RCX. Dave's book is more geared towards building in depth with both the Lego (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: 2000 lego???

Well I would have if they weren't just about to kick us out! It was about 11:55PM (they closed at midnight) when we made it to the Lego isle.... but YES! I will keep everyone updated!   Re: Scout memory map and variable extraction

Hi Mike, Yes I do like decimal, is it that obvious :)) Pollm's legal range starts at 0x0040, and I used that as 1 in my memory count. But even if I take that offset in account your results still differ from mine. I think it's more a definition (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  WTB-WTT Older windows

I recently acquired set 354. However it's missing two 1X4X2 windows as shown in step 10 here: (URL) # 453 in the parts ref. (URL) someone please help me with these?   Re: FOTW - 6464

Mark, I saw that also. I just ordered one to see what would arrive. The name 'Emergency Response Center' was for a Res-Q set, the picture was for 6464 'Super Rescue Complex' and the price went to lord knows what. They fixed it the same day that mine (...)
