Re: What's the biggest/best spare piece you ever got in a set?

(...) For me it was set 517, a 1980's small basic set that had 83 pieces to it. It cost about $4.99. I bought one at a nearby toystore back around 1985. When I got to the car and opened it, instead of 2 of the yellow 2x2 windows, it had 4 of them. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: the Outrider

(...) Try this screen shot for Shadows of the Empire: (URL) the best, sure there are better out there, but it gives the basic shape of the vehicle. I agree that SOTE is one of the better "noncanon" Star Wars books out there. Travis (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Wanted: McD happy meal sets 7 and 8

I *WAS* in the lowell McD but was in and out pretty quick, they want 1.69 for theirs AND didn't have #8 so I blew out. Ada was charging .99 for theirs. Were you there when I was? (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Question on 8277 Inventory

(...) I'd rather have the inventory listings, without the numbers, than not have the listings at all. Anyone who is going to use other people's inventory lists is going to quickly get used to having to translate heavily. I was working on an (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.db.inv)

  4.5v Train newbie questions

Just got a 99% complete 7722 the other day in a bulk purchase. I've got a lot of 9v stuff and had never seen any 4.5v gear. Great stuff! The level crossing kill switch is very cool, as are the little things you clip to the track to reverse the train (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: rocket powered LEGO vehicle

Cool Idea Randy and Steve, Before I go on, I was thinking that we should be using The LUGNET *.loc group for this kind of stuff. I know that you posted this to RTL, but our little discussions within the group would be nice to be in the newsgroup (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.bc.vic)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

(...) Sure would. (...) You're probably more right than I am here. Afterall, it promotes LDraw, and the point of ldraw.org is a centralized resource. Not allowing non-Lego LDraw models on the site would be contradicting that charter and encouraging (...)
