  Re: Selflearning Scout robot

(...) We have something vaguely similar (a "reinforcement learning" robot, specifically Q learning.) Probably even more computationally intense than the average neural net (depending on a number of factors). I have some code, but I've been meaning (...)   RE: HandyBoard not responding

Hi, I tried to download the pcode under Windows 2000 , but I got the same error. So the problem is not with the COM port, must be something else. When I switch the handyboard on I see squares on the first line of the LCD. Thanks Kalyan -----Original (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Nice article in the Kansas City Star

Nice article. Aside from the minor "legos" nit, which we will never win, I suppose, I found this article to be free of "isn't that cute" or "that is weird" overtones that you find sometimes. Can we ask the details of how it came to be written? My (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan, lugnet.general)

Re: Radio shack basic electronics book

(...) I recently obtained a commercial catalog from RadioShack. It's a little over an inch thick and offers quite a bit more than I realized that RadioShack carried. It doesn't beat out Digi-Key for special component parts but has MUCH more in the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Dealings with Rene Virsik?

Further update: My sets arrived! The pieces were in pretty dusty condition, and there were a few pieces missing (2 oars, a ghost, a 1x2 plate w/ bar, a 1x1 yellow round plate, and a couple others), but for the most part everything was there. All the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.people)

  Re: Lego/playmobile ramble

(...) I think Playmobile is much more like Duplo than Lego, both due to the size of the figures and the aspects Frank describes above. Indeed, speaking as somebody who has a very substantial amount of Duplo, I find that it often comes mixed with (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo)

Nice article in the Kansas City Star

Today's newspaper has a nice article on my town layout and a few of Kansas City's LEGO fans. I'll try to put the picture (which is not included in the e- paper) on my webpage soon.   Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

Re: What's the biggest/best spare piece you ever got in a set?
