Re: Definitly a one man cockpit was(Re: Shoddy MF)

(...) It definitely looks to me like a second 'fig can be made to sit in there. Whether or not they do it on the official model is another story. eric (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Thanks to Todd Lehman, Kevin Loch, and Lego!!!

Hi everyone, I just had to drop a note to say thanks to these two gentlemen and to the company that has provided me with hours(years?) of enjoyment! Todd, thanks for giving me an easy access venue for finding all the in's and out's of Lego!! Without (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: I feel like a junkie!

(...) Just from looking at the scans I'd say I will get at least one of everything except maybe the MF, the MF is EXPENSIVE. I'm more likely to get a higher quanity of the 7155 (ATT) just because it looks cool and has a TON of tan, so a couple to (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: Mindstorms and Bungee Jumping

(...) What kind of intelligence is needed for a robot to do bungee jumping? How does a Mindstorms robot jump better than, say, a Furby tied to the bungee cord and pushed off the plank? Cheers, Hao-yang Wang (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: 2000 Town construction sets

It never occurred to me last year but I think Town as we knew it is dead. The theme is now consistently referred to as CITY CENTRE rather than TOWN and this is being reflected in the type of sets we're seeing. Whereas previously the Town theme lived (...)   2000 sets as Parts Packs

As someone who uses all sets as parts packs, I have to say that I am relatively pleased with the additonal pieces. The large Castle set has 16 blue corner steep sloped bricks. Wow that's probably a record. And the 4 in grey are another great (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

The Castle pictures also look slightly color distorted. The arches on the right side actually look blue (1x6 and 2x6), but the side away from the viewer looks grey. Hmmm. Colored lights do make it difficult to tell. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Increasing Age Ranges???

In the 200 catalog, the two soccer buses are listed as being for ages 6-16. I may be wrong, but I do not recall ever seeing ages above 12 (maybe Model Team went to 14 but I'm not sure). Is this the first set ever listed for up to age 16? Also, I (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Ninja vs. "real" Castle (was: Re: More news on 2000 lineup!)

(...) Well, they both represent Fuedal periods in their respective cultures, and I assume that is why they are "Castle" sets. When you said "era", did you mean that they were both fuedal, or that they existed at the same time? If the latter, you're (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Even more 2000 comments

From a purely "parts" perspective, 2000 sets will be nice. The large castle set has at least 16 of the 2x2x3 blue corner extreme slopes..... horrray. The Soccer set has 4 of the gray corner extreme slopes... yes! And someone said orange concave (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
