Hi. I'm looking to trade for some of the 1250's Shell Sets (I'm particularly interested in 1254 and 1256, and very possibly some more). I'll consider trading 9V/12V train stuff from my auction ((URL) and also have mint in sealed box a 780 (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Kevin, you're a geek after my own heart. The very first thing I do with any new Netscape profile is turn the buttons into text. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo)

  Re: walker that turns?

(...) it? ¡hola Horacio! Months ago I built a robot that used just two legs to walk, moving its own center of gravity from one leg to the other. It was actually unable to turn, but someone sugested that I could provide it with turnable legs for (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Top Ten Toys on A&E

(...) I agree, how Ameri-centric of them. I saw the show, and thought for sure that LEGO would be #1. Play-doo beat out LEGO, get real. Lincoln Logs beat out LEGO? Yeah, when was the last time Lincoln Logs could build any thing except a Log Cabin? (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Cat by the tail!

Steve, I'm working on some material; will be developing more as I teach some Middle School kids starting soon. Let's try to collaborate here. I am researching other Education links and lists for current Mindstorms users in Education. I will try to (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

Re: Cat by the tail!: Rcx / MindStorms Classroom

Fred, I'm confused by the Pitsco site. Which package are you referring to as the "Mindstroms Bulk" set? Have you seen one of these?? I'm wondering if there is any advantage over 4 retail Mindstorms sets at $199 each or so.... Software: I was (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

  Re: Castle returns for 2000!

(...) Yeah, I agree with you on the more fantastic stuff being less desirable. Still, I'd like some more bullet helmets. (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle returns for 2000!

(...) What, noting that a woman is busty is prejudical against small-busted women? Or thinking that one particular busty woman looks like a whore is prejudicial against small-busted women? :) (...) Didn't say she didn't like it. Just reported her (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: stupid question

(...) I looked at my Netscape bar and wondered why it ddn't look like what Larry said... and realised it's because I have it set to text instead of icons.   Re: Castle returns for 2000!

(...) Would also have to agree on the helmet. I really like it. For an AFOL looking for an alternate theme this looks very promising as long as the sets look as good as the figs. Please please please bring back the generic fig and lots of peasants (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

RE: Categorizing uploaded robot images on legomindstorms.com

(...) Here's another idea - shamelessly stolen from a great bit of software called SuperJPG. (URL) This is (in my opinion) the best JPG indexing tool available.   Re: 50x50 grey baseplate? From what?

(...) The 50x50 was available from the late 1960's until probably the middle 1970's (not sure about the exact dates). I think that the reason they switched to the 48x48 was due to the fact that 4 of the 48x48 are the same size as 9 of the 32x32 (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
