Danny, The Polaroid 6500 is very common, and if you have the expansion board on your HB you have a built in connection. There are drivers on the MIT HandyBoard site. I just bought this set too. It is very cool. However, I didn't buy it for it's own sake, I wanted the ball joint and the steering parts(as you mention).
