  Re: Datsville is filling up!

John VanZwieten wrote in message ... (...) Congratulations, you have reached the MAX_PARTS in L3P! L3P has an array of properties for all loaded parts (or rather DAT files), and long time ago I set the size to 900 - I didn't imagine anyone would (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad)

  More Mindfest Tidbits

This is a listing of a number of things that happened at Mindfest both related to the NELUG table and in general. 1. There were quite a few TLG reps on hand and many of us had a chance to chat with them. I will relate the few experiances I had and (...)   Re: Launch of new site: SimiLego

No Doubt, I've been salivating ever since I saw it about 5 minutes ago. Andreas, are you in Kansas City? Just wondering because you have lots of KC stuff yet the ISP is from Chicago. Great stuff! Wife must be way understanding. I just moved from KC (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Explorien Starship #6982

My point was not to compete with anyone, especially DYA. Simply that I observed several of a hard-to-find set at a particular store. For those who wanted one and could not locate it, there they are. If someone partakes of those sets, cool. If not, (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: by far rarest knights

Dirk, You are right... I forgot all about the 1592 Knights, and I guess everyone else did, too. I have about 10 of these knights, making them the rarest knights in my collection. I have more of any other type of knight that Lego made, I am quite (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) Kids of today have grown up around nintendo games and action figures You give a kid of today a 5571 giant truck or an 8880 supercar and say here are the instructions and here are the bits. see if you can put it together. do you think that we (...)   RE: Double echo

(...) This is a good idea Sergey. Obvoiusly you have got a set of tools up to build the pbForth from the distribution. Does the makefile work OK for you? I might suggest that I add a word that turns the echos off or on? How does ECHO_OFF ( -- ) (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Minifig Fire Helmet (3834)

Hi For the parts with some regularity (helmets etc) I draw them up on graph paper, showing three projections, converting the curves to polygons/prisms, using judgement as to the level of detail. Circular sections follow the 16-agon standard, curves (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Star Wars Legos (aka The cure for the Dark Ages)

(...) Right on! SW Legos is what brought me out of my dark ages. For at least a year prior to the release of the SW line, I almost invested in other Lego products, but I could never quite justify the expense to myself. But it was SW that brought me (...)   Re: Some disturbing news

(...) I have a feeling that this has been said before, but still: Let's not forget that the Star Wars sets are probably the best LEGO System sets for a long time. I think most people would agree that these sets are much better in terms of (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) I would say Lego has been targeting primarily kids since the introduction of the mini-fig. I can't think of even one instance (and I've been here a long time) where Lego implemented something an AFOL wanted. What's changed is that Lego now (...) (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) Why? The spare parts packs (with the occasional exception) suck, and have sucked for years. They're mostly runoff from whatever sets Lego is producing at the time anyway. Have you ever considered purchasing DACTA sets? (27 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some disturbing news
