Re: NELUG at Mindfest, A quick summary and more photo's.

(...) (There were in fact _lots_ of important people who didn't make Eric's list. I don't think he was trying to be comprehensive and certainly didn't mean to leave anybody out. There were a lot of people there, and I doubt anyone had time to meet (...) (...) RTL's (...) Try a power search, located to the right of the search button. You can type in rec.toys.lego under forum, and you can also choose what date you would like to read posts from. You can leave the other areas blank, they are optional. (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: MOTOR DRIVERS

(...) Hi Paul, I think it would take out the chip, but I am currently doing this by installing a oversize heatsink & fan to the controller chip and pulsing the motor instead of constant current. Exceeding the max current capacity but, limiting (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Adventurers in 2000?

(...) Thanks for the proposed honor :-) Unfortunately that is all I know. I would bet decent scans will show up very soon, since this info was spotted in a UK Lego Club magazine. Yes -- I sat at the table with them at lunch once, and can verify that they appear to be mortal humans, despite evidence we've all seen to the contrary. :) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.events, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos, lugnet.loc.us.ct, lugnet.loc.us.vt, lugnet.loc.us.nh, lugnet.loc.us.me, lugnet.trains)

(...) ??? RTL has no homepage, as such. You could check Deja.com at: (URL) last time I tried, finding a specific newsgroup such as rec.toys.lego there is about a simple as replacing the clutch plates on a '91 Escort, and less enjoyable.   Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) There is one obvious drawback to this option: I want 5000 2x4 light blue bricks. Another drawback is that I want 2000 2x2 orange tiles. That would be a $90,000 investment on your part to be able to fill my entire order. I just don't think very (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) I'd pay upwards of .20 per brick for tan, brown, light blue, purple, and clear. The train windows don't apply to me. But, my hottest commodity is roof peaks - of all kinds. I lust roof peaks. Especially in less common colors (i.e., just about (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  rare mini-fig?

i know this isnt buy/ sell/ trade, but i wanted to reach as many people as possible. I have a very old mini-fig and don't know what set it belongs to- the body is a white tank top with a red truck on it. the face is the standard smile, but the eyes (...) (...) here (...) This is all starting to sound like an elaborate version of Auczilla combined with Jambalaya. Now, instead of Todd buying sets and parting them out, someone would be collecting everyone's bricks they don't want (for a price), and (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Current Projects?

Hey, anyone working on any interesting Star Wars projects? My vast construction yard is trying to construct an AT-PT. 'Tis coming along suprisingly well, and I probably would've finished last night, if my inspiration hadn't hit at 11:30pm. Stupid (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Nya modeller i BlockCAD-galleriet!

Tobias Möller skrev i meddelandet ... (...) Jag brukar bygga så långt det går med BlockCAD eftersom det går fortast för mig, sedan får man fixa dom slutliga detaljerna/rotationerna i LDRAW (MLCad).   Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) This is what I would propose. If we are looking for spicific parts, the first one on my list (and Larry's too I guess) would be a train window and door. I -don't- care what colour (I'd prefer gray, but...as long as I can get 200-300 of the (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) I disagree. :) Like Larry, I think that a business case for exactly what we want needs to be developed. If we go to TLG asking for wholesale purchases, they will simply treat us like a small-scale retailer, and that is (IMHO)a road that leads (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) Exactly, Gary- A few pitchforks today, which can obviously be ignored by TLG as insignificant, but the IDEA will be planted-- in *our* heads. And once our silly blind loyalty/pure LEGO dazement is over, then the real trouble for TLG will (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Wot no RCX power connector?

Not bad for an international connection. I'd rate it as "tolerable." I've scanned 3 pages, but the images are crooked on two. I'm going to cut the binding on my Constructopedia, and re-do the scans, then 3-hole punch them (I've got a binder full of (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
