Re: is there a searchable archive

(...) Don, There is a searchable archive* of the lugnet.robotics newsgroup here: (URL) lego-robotics@crynwr.com mailing list is gatewayed with the lugnet.robotics newsgroup, so anything which appears on the mailing list also appears in the (...) (27 years ago, 23-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Picture of Falcon?

---...--- (...) that (...) I think I just realized why this photo is so funky. It's a cyan and black color plate from a print, I don't see any obvious Magenta or Yellow.   Re: Lego set 8001 Technic Battle Droid

---...--- (...) Apparently that is the case. While I haven't followed the Technic line lately, didn't some sets in the Technic line this year come out in Europe before the US? Rob (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Ranting about Lego trains!

(...) Of course, Ben, you realize you are preaching to the choir, so rant all you want. I am a Lego model railroader because of my 2 and 4 year old rail fans. They loved my N-scale layout but were frustrated because they could not participate (I was (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) That is a very true example. Here is another one. I want 2,000 of the 1x4x6 black town jr. windows. Does this mean that they will make more money by selling me 2000 of the McDonalds sets? Yes they will, if I felt inclined to buy $22,000 worth (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Where can you buy the 1076 Advent Calendar?

Huw's site lists that the 1076 Advent Calendar is available in the US, Where?? I have only seen 1298. Someone a few weeks ago mentioned that it was available at KBkids, however their web site doesn't list model numbers of sets. Rose (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) No, I'm not saying that. If you're interested in learning, search for some of the arguments for and against bulk ordering we've had over the last few years - I don't have the time or the desire to reproduce them for you. But I'll tell you this (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) For me that analysis is occasionally right, but usually wrong. Take train doors, for example. I never bought any 5561 Big Foot 4x4 for the white train doors, but I would buy 20 white train doors if they were $2 each. Furthermore, your analysis (...)   Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) For 20 2x2 orange tiles, yes, I agree. One of the many people who buy sets and part them out will be more than happy to provide that third party service for you. Unfortunately, I don't want 20. I want 2000. I don't have $90,000 laying around (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
