Is their a searchable archive of the LEGO Robotics Mailing List?

Don,

There is a searchable archive* of the lugnet.robotics newsgroup here:

   http://www.lugnet.com/robotics/

The lego-robotics@crynwr.com mailing list is gatewayed with the
lugnet.robotics newsgroup, so anything which appears on the mailing list
also appears in the newsgroup, and vice-versa.  The archive goes back about
one year.

* Technically, it's not actually an "archive" since all of the threads are
still kept active (not disabled from posting).  That is, if you find an old
thread from months and months ago, you can still post replies to it.  But it
is an indeed archive in the sense of "a collection."
