Re: SPUDs and POOPs? (Was: Does anyone accually like 4561?)

  Inverse grey corner slope availability

Does anyone know of a current or recent set with an inverse corner slope (LDraw part 3676, "Slope Brick 45 2 x 2 Inverted Double Convex" (see url) in light grey? I've had a quick (not exhaustive) search in db.inv and can't find anything. Any help is (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Any info on 9700 (aka TC-0) ?

Set 9700 is probably a Dacta control centre kit of some kind, though I don't know which one. 9701 is the current "Control Lab Technology Building Set" and the other Dacta control kits are in that 97xx series. Kevin (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: What set(s) is this piece found in?

(...) It's also in the Flame Fighters fire station set, as a light bar on the small fire chiefs car, though that's no cheaper than 4551! Kevin (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: SPUDs and POOPs? (Was: Does anyone accually like 4561?)

(...) An acronym list would be keen... The RTLSpeak list is referenced in the LUGNET FAQ material (1), but I don't see any reason why LUGNET can't have its own copy. Unless the acronym list is copyrighted? BURP = Big Ugly Rock Piece SNOT = Studs Not (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) <snip> I guess this begs the question however. Would these people be going to the LEGO web site and filling out the form? If they are not that "into" LEGO I would guess not. I am sure that there are plenty of folks out there that don't have (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: The beginings of my modular Star Wars base.

<snip> (...) This is something that would hold a B-Wing while on the Hanger Floor while major repairs were being done. It would also have repulsor lift capability so that mainenance crews could move the B-Wing to another area of the Hanger. <snip> (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Attention Calgarians & Edmontonians - Hobby Show

(...) Yup, one or two. :) I haven't heard too much out of Calgary, but we've got between 3 & 6 active AFOLs in Edmonton (and St. Paul) that stay in semi-active contact, and a few more that come out of the woodwork every once in a while.   Re: FS : Mars promo sets

(...) How widespread are the three-liter milk jugs? At my local store, they have the gallon (3.785L) jugs next to the 3-liter jugs. It takes some quick math to figure which is the better deal. The price levels seem to switch weekly. Steve (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) I know a few... mostly, I'd say people fall in the "under 10" category or "way over 10" category. My younger brother and sister's collection (they don't care for it nearly as much as I) is about 4 or 5 sets... Also, our neighbors family has a (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: I'm famous (or infamous)

The information came from an interview I did with a reporter in Denmark for the Bloomberg Newsgroup (like Associated Press but on a smaller, growing scale) about two months ago. It was originally for an (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

  Lugnet Interviews?

As we do have quite a varied set of interesting people on here, it could be interesting to 'interview' some of them! Although you can find out a lot about people by just using Lugnet, the psychology of an interview (on a chat or irc) is completely (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.people)

Re: The beginings of my modular Star Wars base.

(...) Maintenance sled? (...) Yeah, it doesn't HAVE to be Hoth, just thought it might be more recognizeable, what with an AT-AT (or AT-ATs? Shaun? :) ) approaching the base... But we could also go for a more earthy tone too-- I could try and work in (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Rock Raiders IS a Space theme

(...) Actually, Star Wars belongs square in the middle of that thing known as Sci-Fi ("skiffy" I've heard it pronounced). It's "hard science fiction" that SW doesn't fit into. Although the SW technology is a bit closer to HSF than Star Trek's. Not (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)
