Zach's third LEGO auction (update 13)

All high bids made on or before 9/30/99 have advanced to GOING 1; those that were GOING 1/2 in the last update all have advanced to the next level. Welcome to my third RTL auction. It has been about 18 months since my last auction, time for another (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: another thought on "Bid Siphoning"

How come you don't mention the source of your Blue Hopper in Serious Collector listings? Is it selective amnesia? (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Modern Police Department

  The Nugator Company

We have done some cleaning up on our site including fixing the image problems with Netscape (it still isn’t as pretty as ie but it works).   Re: Proxy bidding mechanics questions...

(...) I think I see what you're getting at but I don't see any other way to do it. You can't make the current bid $3.10 or $2.90, so it has to be $3.00. Yeah, that pretty much says, "hey! you hit it right on the dot!" but I guess you have to accept (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: LEGO Pirates! D-Day Approaches!

(...) I've seen numerous Lego television ads... (...) Not so sure. I've seen many a parent and kid pick up MegaBlok (sp?) sets and actually say something like, "well, these look just the same and you get twice as much for the money." Now maybe those (...)   20% off at Canadian Superstore

Canadian Superstore already have the best consistent prices on Lego around me, and now they have 20% off on all Lego and Duplo. I bought about $600 worth but there's still lots left. Emperor's Stronghold for $39.99, anyone? I assume this is (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.bc.van)

  Re: New starwars sets.

(...) The only set that has been officially announced (that I am aware of) is the Millennium Falcon. Hey, I just now thought of something the instant I typed that: I bet they didn't release the Falcon this year is because they want to release the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Does anyone accually like 4561?

Yeah - I like it, and my mate Chris (a non-Internet AFOL) does too. I just got my 4561 on Friday and it looks a lot better built than it does in the catalogue. I won't say it's perfect - it has it's good and bad points. The obvious bad point is the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Download problem

I've looked at a couple of traces and it looks like the serial driver just stops receiving data after a certain point. One theory is that something happens (framing error or overflow), which then keeps the driver from relaying more information. I've (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

With Halloween fast approaching, has anyone seen any orange buckets in local stores? Also, if anyone recalls the set number for this, I sure appreciate (couldn't find on fib'snork or pause sites). Best, dan parker PNLTC (25 years ago, 3-Oct-99, to lugnet.promo)
