  Re: Chicago Legofest

(...) And I thought that my 5 hour drive to Toronto for a minicon (mini convention) was bad... Charles (Fenton, MI) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.wi, lugnet.loc.us.il, lugnet.loc.us.mn, lugnet.loc.us.mi, lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.loc.us, lugnet.org.us)

Re: The LD environment (or, Datsville in Space)

(...) My point is, where do we draw the line? We are dealing with creativity and imagination. Who is to decide what is allowed and what is not? I certainly don't want to be the one who does it. All I care about is having a place where I can showcase (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Why are SSIs bad?

(...) If you're the site admin, there's not a security problem. The security issue is with letting your _users_ use SSI, because those commands execute as the user which owns the web server. Which, if you don't trust your users, is a bad thing. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Hunger website

(...) Not by a longshot. (...) Although it doesn't really fit the "fun" in .off-topic.fun, it does fit .off-topic.fun far more than it fits lugnet.general (which is for general LEGO-related topics). .off-topic.geek or .publish would probably work (...)   Re: Official catalog of part numbers

From memory the internal parts catalogue system is made up of three components: 1) The catalogue which shows images of all 2000 or so parts broken down into themes and further into "classifications". 2) A second catalogue which details the colour (...)   Re: It's Time AFOL Take Action!

I believe that you can add (even via mail) a "Followup-To: lugnet.general" to your message headers and it would do what you wanted. (...) I would like to point out that I think what we all want isn't adult legos, but rather sets that don't insult (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: The Sad State of Minifig Box #1

I can understand the partial minifigs - if somebody wants a black witch hat but has no use for an entire witch it's silly for them not to leave the rest of the fig in the box. But if people do trades like taking all the non-yellow hands and (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: The LD environment (or, Datsville in Space)

(...) Depends on where we want to go. If we want to set up a framework for a believable, interesting interstellar society, we've pretty much got to allow FTL technology. Even practical sub-light drive technology is way out there. (...) There's a lot (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Trains, Technic and Space!

Hi, I have the following sets that I am considering exchanging for 9volt train sets or selling. 7735 7745 7857/8/9 8865 8842 6970 6980 . With the exception of 6970/6980 the sets are in good to very good, hardly used condition. Some boxes available, (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Don't worry, Ed. If that box ever comes my way, I will be sure to relieve it of the air tanks and put in there something more pallable (SP?). Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
