  Re: Space stations?

(...) Actually, the door in my system tends to stick too much, making it hard to open and close. Especially when the door is located in the middle of a model, and is somewhat hard to get at. I'd like to see a standard docking port that's slimmer (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pics of the finished commuter train

(...) Steve, MAX is beautiful! Very well done. Wish I could have scheduled my trip to Seattle later just to see MAX! Go for brick springs for the coupler! As BOB proved at the WWF show, the LEGO rubber bands can fatigue and break: very bad. Very (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGO Riddle.......

Well, it's a slow day in my brain, so I can't be sure... but here is my guess: 1. The common piece would be the basic 1x1 2. The rare pieces might be the 'macaroni' bricks. I think that's what they're called. I'm thinking of the ones that are (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Divers (was: Lugnet Roll-call)

(...) Really? I love Divers, but I was disappointed by the set designs. Not that the models were bad, they were very good. There was too much repetition between the sets. Too many nearly-identical submersibles. Too many SPUD[1] rafts. Almost every (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.people, lugnet.town)

Re: Make your own Castle Minifig Ideas

  LEGO Riddle.......

It's a slow day on LUGNET today, so I'll ask a LEGO Riddle.... What pieces are we.........???...??? We're two different LEGO Bricks, and we basically haven't changed since LEGO came out in the mid 1950's (1955 or 1956). Our only real change (besides (...)   Re: OVER 1 AMP

Dear Paul, I have an H-bridge that I designed to run big motors. It runs at two amps continuous, and three amps intermittantly. It uses 5 volts for logic from your Handyboard, and 12 volts from a gel cell to run the motors. It also has an analog (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Standardized Inventory File Format?

(...) It doesn't do much good if the use of commas makes it so the columns don't line up. You want these inventory files to be easy to read by humans, and that means the columns need to line up! If we use commas as delimeters, we also need to add (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Standardized Inventory File Format?

(...) Yes -- the way to do that type of transformation in a single operation is to replace the grep expression / +/ with /,/.
