  Re: web page in frames

(...) Those people are silly. :) I'm serious, actually. It's a prejudice spawned by a lot of sites with terrible use of frames. Sure, they're easy to misuse, but that doesn't make all uses bad. (25 years ago, 10-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)

(...) Hmm. I swear I saw that 160mb card just the other day, but can't find anyone selling it now. (I'll look more later...) The 128MB cards cost about $300. Maybe the thing to do is buy several. :) (25 years ago, 10-Sep-99, to lugnet.publish)

WTB: arches, etc for reconstructing Yellow Castle

I am trying to reconstruct the Yellow Castle set #375. Most of the pieces are pretty standard bricks and slopes (no juniorization -- not even in the horses). Anyway, here is some of what I need. (...) Thanks! I use 3DS MAX 2.5. I am looking for a reason to upgrade to 3.0, because the rendering engine is supposed to be MUCH better. Also Mental Ray (used in all the feature film stuff) is being ported to MAX 3.0. Eric (25 years ago, 10-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

They snap into the frames like the window panes snap into a 1x4x3 window. So FOR ONCE, you can get 2 of these sets, put the doors side by side, and snap one in "backwards/upside down", and have proper swingout doors, since the door is horizontally (...)
